Athens was nice, the Acropolis is a massive complex and the related ruins were also impressive, though we've been spoiled by the things we saw in Turkey, Syria, and Jordan.

The rest of the city is just charming, with narrow cobblestone streets and a lot of unique shops and good affordable food (souvlaki, spinach pies and gyros).

what a charming city! did you visit the new museum? i hope so because i had the chance to do so while on a business trip in athens just a few months ago. we thankfully had the assistance of the athens convention bureau who assisted us in organizing our convention. www.facebook.com/athensconvention and they insisted we go on a tour at the new museum! thankfully we did, because the museum is as breathtaking as the parthenon and so is the view!
